'Eastwick' to have musical episode?
The potential TV series Eastwick could have an entirely musical episode.

ABC ordered a pilot for a small screen version of 1987 film The Witches Of Eastwick, which starred Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michele Pfeiffer, for the upcoming autumn season.

According to WENN, producers of the drama would like to turn an upcoming episode into a musical.

Star Lindsay Price said that bosses have already hinted that she and co-stars Rebecca Romijn and Jaime Ray Newman will have to sing in at least one episode.

"What most people don't know is Rebecca is actually a really good singer. Jaime Ray Newman has a great voice too," she said. "I'm more of a songwriter. I write and record. [The producers] said, 'By episode nine, you know you guys have got to make this into a musical?'"

Eastwick, which originated as a 1984 novel by John Updike, will feature the trio as housewives who obtain supernatural powers after leaving their spouses.

The source material was also adapted into a musical in 2000.
