After four low-rated episodes, the programme has been removed from the network's lineup until June, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.
Kings was originally scheduled to air on Thursdays, but NBC later decided to run the show on Sundays. It was recently moved to Saturday nights.
Starting this Saturday, the broadcaster will air reruns of Law & Order: SVU, Southland and Law & Order.
Kings is planned to return to its 8pm EST Saturday time slot on June 13 and will finish its season on July 25.
