The Spanish filmmaker will executive produce a series adaptation of his first international hit, Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown.
The English language hour-long project is being developed by Fox TV Studios, while Mimi Schmir has been tapped to pen the script.
"Pedro Almodovar is unarguably one of the great filmmakers of our time, and this movie overflows with rich, funny, complex characters and relationships - that isn't a bad place to start," said Fox's David Madden.
"We know that the Almodovar brand will be meaningful both internationally and domestically."
