Chrysler pulls 'Apprentice' sponsorship

Car makers DaimlerChrysler has pulled its sponsorship of the second season of The Apprentice. New episodes of the business-themed reality show will begin airing on NBC next month.
The AP quotes Joe Eberhardt, head of Chrysler sales and marketing, as saying: "You would have hoped that given the fact that we were the founding sponsor ... that would count for something. But they were asking for way too much money."
