Fox hands 'Fringe' early renewal
Published Tuesday, May 5 2009, 07:50 BST | By Chris Homer

The network has ordered 22 new episodes of the sci-fi show, which stars Anna Torv, John Noble and Joshua Jackson, E! reports.
Its first season is scheduled to wrap up on May 12 in the US, while Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy is lined up to guest star in an upcoming episode.
"We were saving so many juicy secrets for years and years, and we're actually going to stick a bunch of them in the finale. That may be the worst idea ever, but we're doing it," co-creator Roberto Orci said.
Fox plan to announce the rest of their planned renewals or cancellations on May 18.
