A&E has ordered a Jerry Bruckheimer pilot as part of its new season.

The project, which goes under the working title of Cooler Kings, is a Honolulu-based show about a cop who joins a mysterious crew of detectives.

In addition, the network has placed orders for new shows including The Lead Sheet, which centres on the LAPD tracking the Hillside Strangler in the 1970s, and Central Divison, by Lynda Obst and Marc Rosen.

A&E has also renewed nine of its unscripted series - Intervention, The First 48, Gene Simmons: Family Jewels, Dog The Bounty Hunter, Crime 360, Criss Angel Mindfreak, Paranormal State, Manhunters and Parking Wars.

It was recently reported that Kevin Costner is developing a new Western for the network.
