Former Dawson's Creek star Kerr Smith will appear on the seventh season of Charmed, which premieres in the US on September 12.
Smith will play a federal agent who contacts the three witches, according to the Hollywood Reporter. His character is a member of the Dark Operatives Unit, which investigates supernatural events.
Kerr's character may also end up as a love interest for Paige (Rose McGowan).
Former Newlyweds star Nick Lachey will also appear on the show's new season.
