NBC renews Schwartz's 'Chuck'
Published Monday, May 18 2009, 09:23 BST | By Dan French

Josh Schwartz's action-comedy will return for a 13-episode third season in the fall.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the pick-up came after Warner Bros. agreed to scale back the number of episodes in which several members of the cast appear.
In addition, it is reported that one actor may face losing their job, alongside two staff writers who are expected to be dropped due to low budgets.
Earlier this year, Schwartz said that he was "optimistic" about the show returning for a third season.
NBC is expected to announce its full 2009-10 season lineup tomorrow.
