Fawcett's long-term partner Ryan O’Neal confirmed the news in an interview with Today’s Meredith Viera.
He said: "We haven’t stopped filming, and we’re going to make a second instalment on her life."
Fawcett, 62, was too ill to attend the Hollywood premiere of Farrah’s Story, but was "overcome with emotion" as she watched it with O’Neal and friend Alana Stewart on Friday.
Stewart added: "I was a little nervous. She cried a few times. It was quite emotional for her. When it was over [I asked her], 'OK, so did you like it?'"
Fawcett apparently responded "very much".
The two-hour NBC documentary led the evening's ratings.
