Harris cast as singing Batman villain

Neil Patrick Harris has signed on star as a singing villain in animated series Batman: The Brave And The Bold.

The How I Met Your Mother actor will lend his voice to a character named the Music Meister on the Cartoon Network programme, according to Buddy TV.

The Caped Crusader's antagonist, based on a series of DC Comics wrongdoers, is described as a "former band camp nerd turned megalomaniac" by series producer James Tucker.

The musical episode 'Mayhem Of The Music Meister' will be first shown at the annual Comic-Con convention held in San Diego, California on June 24.

Harris was recently attached to film projects Beastly and The Best And The Brightest.
