According to the Daily Mail, the actress has been approached to host a Surprise, Surprise-style programme which will see her making ordinary people's dreams come true.
"Amanda would be like a new Cilla Black. One reason she was great on Britain’s Got Talent was that she gets really emotionally involved with the acts," said a production source.
"She has a lot of warmth, which viewers find appealing, and she can connect with people well. That’s what the Americans like about her."
Holden, 38, is thought to have filmed a pilot for the British version of the show, The Wish List, last year, but ITV chiefs decided not to commission it.
She recently found success in the States hosting the CBS daytime programme The Early Show and has been invited back for a second stint this week.
