Bell: 'Veronica Mars' movie now unlikely

The actress, who played a student/private detective in the show, told Entertainment Weekly that negotiations to adapt it for the big screen have fallen through.
"I don't think it will ever happen. [Series creator] Rob Thomas and I had a powwow, and we were both 100% on board," she said.
"We took our proposal to Warner Brothers and Joel Silver told us that there is no enthusiasm to make a Veronica Mars movie, and that is unfortunately a roadblock we cannot compete with."
The show ran for three seasons between 2004 and 2007. Thomas had previously claimed that a movie version was "close" to being completed.
