Lost (ABC)
Racy soap Desperate Housewives and plane-crash-on-desert-island drama Lost are the number one and number three new series of the season to date, both drawing huge numbers to an otherwise bleak schedule for the network.
"'Desperate Housewives' and 'Lost' each bring something unique to the table, and we're thrilled that audiences responded from day one," said ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson. "Creatively, these two shows only continue to get better."
The network also announced the renewal of late night talkshow Jimmy Kimmel Live through 2005.
