ABC has renewed its late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live for another season.
"I'm delighted that ABC has exhausted all other options and picked up mine for another year," Kimmel said today.
Despite the show's name, it actually airs on an hour's tape-delay on the east coast of the US, and is further tape-delayed in the western timezones.
"We're thrilled that Jimmy will continue to be a part of the ABC family," said ABC late night programming chief Andrea Wong. "We think he's a great talent who has brought us an innovative show that we know he will only make stronger and stronger."
