Eliza Coupe promoted to 'Scrubs' regular

The actress, who plays intern Denise in the ABC hospital comedy, will form part of the regular cast of the upcoming ninth season.
Creator Bill Lawrence recently said of Coupe: "I really like Eliza. I think she's a really interesting actress and we didn't give her a full character [last season]. I think she's hyper-talented."
It was recently revealed that the new season of Scrubs will not be set in a hospital.
