'Ugly Betty' star tapped for 'Affairs'

Christopher Gorham has been tapped to star in USA Network's upcoming spy thriller Covert Affairs.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gorham - who starred as Henry Grubstick in Ugly Betty - is being lined up to feature opposite Piper Perabo.

He will reportedly play a blind CIA military intelligence agent called Auggie Anderson. Perabo's character Annie Walker has been described as a multilingual CIA trainee with a mysterious ex-boyfriend.

Writing on his Twitter account, Gorham confirmed the casting, saying: "Thank u 4 the many kind words on Covert Affairs! I'm excited and looking forward 2 the challenge. More news 2 come! (sic)"

Gorham's previous credits include Harper's Island and Odyssey 5.
