Poehler will rejoin her former co-anchor Seth Meyers for two episodes of SNL's Weekend Update Thursdays, according to TV Guide.
The episodes are scheduled to air on the Peacock Network on September 17 and 24, while they will precede instalments of her US series.
The 37-year-old was recently announced as one of the voices for the Chipettes in live-action animated movie Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.
