Olbermann 'denies O'Reilly truce'
Keith Olbermann has dismissed claims that he had been asked to take part in a truce with Bill O'Reilly.

TV bosses for the MSNBC anchor and Fox News executives were reported to have intervened by putting a cease fire to the on-air feud the TV show hosts have been engaged in.

The Countdown With Keith Olbermann presenter blasted The New York Times for printing a story that an agreement between the pair had been reached, The Wrap reports.

Olbermann took journalist Brian Stelter to task during his Worst Person In The World segment of his programme last night.

He said: "Mr Stelter asked me at least twice last week if there was such a deal and I told him on and off the record there was not.

"And I rather obviously would have to be a party to such a deal and I told him not only wasn't I, but I hadn't even been asked to be by my bosses. And he printed it anyway."

He then chastised Fox Corporation president Rupert Murdoch for trying to "muzzle" O'Reilly and told the O’Reilly Factor host to free himself from his "corporate shackles".

O'Reilly reportedly made no mention of the supposed intervention or his news rival during his show yesterday evening.
