My Name Is Earl producer Bobby Bowman has reportedly teamed up with Fox for a new family comedy project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bowman - whose NBC series Earl was axed earlier this year - has received a premium script commitment for the untitled show.

The project, which he wrote and is executive producing, revolves around an oddball kid who lives in an eccentric home but is trying to be normal.

Bowman has previously produced episodes of Yes, Dear and has written for Family Guy and The Mystery Files Of Shelby Woo.
