MTV orders 'Teen Wolf' remake pilot
Published Tuesday, Sep 1 2009, 16:05 BST | By Dan French

The original film starred Michael J. Fox as a teenager who discovers he is a werewolf. The cable network's remake is said to follow a similar story set in high school.
"It has a fresh take and is very different from the original," said MTV's Liz Gateley. "It has more of an American Werewolf in Paris feel to it. It's a dramatic thriller with two best friends in the centre who provide a great comedy element: They are two very relatable characters on the outer circles of popular cliques."
MTV recently announced plans to develop a US version of teen drama Skins.
