Michaela Watkins and Casey Wilson will not return to the long-running US sketch comedy show in the autumn, says Entertainment Weekly.
Watkins began appearing on the programme in November, performing impersonations of Arianna Huffington and Today Show presenter Hoda Kotb, as well as her original character bitchpleeze.com blogger Angie Tempura.
"The only explanation I got from [them] - and [they're] not known to say things just to make people feel better - was that [they] felt deep down that I should have my own show," she said. "And I agreed. SNL was a dream come true for me. It was a fantastic year. I don't have any regrets."
Meanwhile, Wilson will apparently return to Los Angeles theatre group Upright Citizens Brigade on September 24.
It was reported earlier that Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad have been added to the show's series regulars.
Saturday Night Live will begin its 35th season on September 26.
