The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star was co-hosting the US show for her second of two scheduled guest spots when she unveiled a new wavier haircut, People reports.
"You have a new hairstyle. It's a first!" presenter Barbara Walters said, before co-host Joy Behar added: "It looks cute!"
Gosselin said that she also met the approval of the show's make-up department, who were enthusiastic about her change of style.
"Your girls back there [said], 'Whoa baby! Isn’t it cute?'" she explained.
The 34-year-old is rumoured to be in talks about hosting a chatshow similar in format to The View.
