Mad Men has led the way at this year's Emmy Awards, winning the 'Best TV Drama' gong for the second year running.
Other shows recognised at last night's event in Los Angeles included comedy 30 Rock and the US adaptation of British sitcom The Office.
The 'Best Drama Actor' prize was given to Bryan Cranston for his part in Breaking Bad while Hollywood star Glenn Close won the 'Best Drama Actress' prize for Damages.
The Office creator Ricky Gervais said: "The thing about Oscars and the Golden Globes is they got film stars there.
"With their jaw lines and chiselled looks, making me feel bad. But in this room, I'm probably above average."
BBC drama Little Dorrit won a night's best of seven awards, including outstanding miniseries and prizes for its writing, direction, cinematography and costumes.
