American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi has been tapped as a guest co-host on The View.
The 38-year-old singer-songwriter will fill in for regular co-presenter Elisabeth Hasselbeck on October 15.
Hasselbeck has been on maternity leave since August when she gave birth to a baby boy.
DioGuardi is the latest in a string of celebrities to land a guest slot on the ABC daytime show. Previous co-hosts have included Victoria Beckham, La Toya Jackson and Kate Gosselin.
