Speaking to Digital Spy, the 35-year-old British actress, who played Penny on the ABC show between seasons two and five, admitted that the iconic show cannot be replaced.
"I think Lost is like losing a friend or a relative or someone," she said. "You can't replace it with another one."
Walger, who will next be seen starring in ABC's apocalyptic drama FlashForward, added that she hopes her new show will "ease the pain of losing Lost".
"Lost holds a very special place in people's hearts and I wouldn't presume to say that FlashForward will replace Lost. I think it provides a lot of the same adrenaline and fascination and entertainment. It will help ease the pain of losing Lost! I think it will appeal to the very same audience."
FlashForward premieres Thursday at 8pm on ABC and will arrive in the UK on Monday, September 28 on Five.
