Fey: 'I want Meryl Streep on 30 Rock'

Tina Fey has said that she would like Meryl Streep to appear in a guest star capacity on 30 Rock.

The Devil Wears Prada star had been asked to feature on the Emmy-winning comedy earlier this year by Alec Baldwin, who later denied offering the actress a role.

However, Fey announced that the show is still attempting to land Streep for a part, TV Guide reports.

She said: "I think our new dream guest star is Meryl Streep. I think she would be a great love interest for Alec, but I guess they already did a movie like that, so I don't know if she'll do it.

"I would like her to be Alec's love interest, or Grizz's (Grizz Chapman) love interest to change it up."

It was reported earlier that Baldwin had been cast to play one of two men vying for Streep's attention in It's Complicated.
