Bill Condon to direct 'C Word' pilot

The potential Showtime series stars Laura Linney as a wife and mother diagnosed with cancer. The dark comedy will reunite the 45-year-old actress with her Kinsey director, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Oscar-winning writer and filmmaker will direct the project from a script by series creator Darlene Hunt for Sony TV and Original Film. Linney will also serve as executive producer.
Condon previously won an Academy Award for writing Gods And Monsters. He also wrote the film Chicago and directed Dreamgirls.
