Pee-wee Herman appears on 'Leno'

Pee-wee Herman made an appearance on last night's episode of The Jay Leno Show.

Paul Reubens dressed up as the character from Pee-wee's Playhouse to stop by the NBC late-night chatshow, The Huffington Post reports.

He showed Leno his new "abstinence ring", in reference to Reubens's 1991 indecent exposure arrest at a Florida adult theatre that derailed his career as peforming as Pee-wee on his popular Saturday morning children's show.

Pee-wee went on to serenade the host with his version of 'Let's Get Together' from 1961 movie The Parent Trap, starring Hailey Mills.

The 56-year-old plans to resurrect his child-like alter ego for a series of stage shows in Los Angeles in November.
