The CW cancels 'The Beautiful Life'

The drama, which starred Mischa Barton and Elle Macpherson, was forced to shut down its production on Friday, says The Holllywood Reporter.
The broadcaster is replacing the show in its Wednesday 9pm slot with encores of Melrose Place - a tactic the network utilised last year with 90210 - with immediate effect.
Last Wednesday's instalment of The Beautiful Life pulled in a mere 1m viewers.
