Rebecca Romijn has revealed that she is enjoying playing a witch on new ABC series Eastwick.

The actress portrays Roxie Torcoletti on the show, an adaptation of John Updike novel The Witches of Eastwick and its 1987 film update which starred Cher and Jack Nicholson.

"We're having a fantastic time, the show's great. The material is so fun and challenging, I can't wait to get to work every day," she told The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien.

"Playing a witch is a fantasy for a girl like playing a superhero is a fantasy for a guy. Your powers are limitless. I dressed up as a witch for Halloween probably three times when I was a kid. It's fun."

Eastwick airs Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC. A UK broadcaster is yet to pick up the programme.
