Diaz not appearing in 'Desperate Housewives'

Reports that Cameron Diaz will be making a cameo appearance in hit US drama Desperate Housewives have been denied by the programme's makers.

Last week the Daily Star claimed that Diaz had signed up for a role in the show, which is seen by a massive 22 million viewers each week in the States.

A spokeswoman said today: "Cameron Diaz has not been booked for the show. There are no plans for her to appear on Desperate Housewives."

Desperate Housewives begins in the UK on Channel 4 at 10pm this Wednesday (January 5).
