The 19-year-old 'You Belong With Me' singer will be the musical guest as well as the presenter on the November 7 episode, The AP reports.
Swift called the opportunity "mind-blowing" and hinted that her recent acceptance speech interruption by Kanye West at the MTV Video Music Awards may become a sketch.
She said: "I've been thinking about skit ideas for a long time. There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits."
Swift will join a select group of artists who have pulled double duty on the long-running NBC series, including Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Sting.
However, Spears was the youngest person in SNL history to do so at the age of 18 on a May 13, 2000 episode.
Swift recently received six nominations, including 'Artist of the Year', from the American Music Awards.
