Directors Guild of America nominees

The nominations for the Directors Guild of America's television awards have been announced.

Among the nominees are old favourites such as The Sopranos and Sex And The City, as well as several first-time contenders such as Lost and Desperate Housewives.

The awards cover a range of programming genres such as drama, children's programming, daytime serials, comedy and musical variety.
