Co-star: 'We'll miss Ashlee and Colin'

Stephanie Jacobsen has reacted to the dismissal of her Melrose Place co-stars Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Colin Egglesfield.

The actress, who plays Lauren Yung on the series, has said that she is saddened by the news of her cast members' exit.

Jacobsen told Us Weekly: "We're sad! We're obviously going to miss them."

As for Egglesfield, she said: "He is a soldier. That's the business. He's amazing."

When asked about Simpson-Wentz's departure, Jacobsen said that she didn't know if the singer's role was written to continue after the twelfth episode.

She added: "I don't know if Ashlee's involvement was ever intended to exceed the murder-mystery storyline. But obviously I'm not privy to the details."

Simpson-Wentz and Egglesfield recently discussed their exit from Melrose Place.
