Jessica Simpson: 'Melrose Place is cr*p'

Jessica Simpson has branded Melrose Place 'cr*p' following her sister Ashlee's exit from the show.

Simpson-Wentz, who plays Violet on the CW series, was recently given the boot from the drama.

Her character will make a final appearance on screen in January after the murder mystery storyline reaches a climax in December.

Writing on her Twitter account, Simpson blasted the show's scriptwriters and claimed that Ashlee helped gather publicity for the drama.

"CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with,but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press. (sic)"

It was recently reported that Simpson-Wentz is planning a return to music after she expressed interest in recording a new album.
