Cartoon Network has added two new live-action series to its lineup.
Tower Prep and History will be the cable network's first live-action scripted pilots, says The Hollywood Reporter.
History is about a skilled and worldly high school student who gets wrapped up in mysteries at a national museum with his smooth-talking cousin. The programme is created by Mark Web and features the voices of Kevin G. Schmidt and Jordan Gavaris.
Tower Prep, described as an action thriller, features a rebellious teen trapped in a strange prep school for children with "unique" potential. Batman: The Animated Series producer Paul Dini is overseeing the project, which features voice actor Drew Van Acker.
"These new series will offer our viewers a type of action-packed event entertainment not found anywhere else," said Rob Sorcher, Cartoon Network's chief content officer.
The network has ordered 13 episodes of both hour-long shows.
