Kelly reads the People's Revolution team a recent news article about how the recession is affecting the fashion industry.

She becomes angry when Roxy interrupts her to ask for a pen and insists that the company has to "step it up" because they are still growing and nobody is being laid off.

Kelly decides to send Whitney and Roxy to Miami to help with an upcoming Mara Hoffman fashion show but warns them not to bring her back any receipts.

Over at the Elle offices, Joe tells Olivia that he is also sending her to Miami for the Fashion Week. He says the blogging incident was a learning experience and she can grow from it. He also says that the magazine is hosting a party which Erin is organising and that Olivia should take Erin's lead.

Roxy and Whitney are amazed by their luxurious Miami hotel. Roxy comments that it's like a vacation but Whitney warns her not to put anything on the room charge. Meanwhile, Olivia and Erin meet at the airport for their flight. Erin questions if she is going to any trade shows but Olivia says she won't have time.

After helping Kelly and Mara audition models, Whitney and Roxy head to a South Beach nightclub where they meet Whitney's friend Nick.

The trio chat together before Whitney excuses herself for a moment, prompting Nick to tell Roxy that he really likes her.

She suggests that they go somewhere else and they leave the club before Whitney returns.

Next morning Whitney arrives at the fashion show but Roxy isn't there. She meets with Olivia and introduces her to Mara before Roxy finally makes her appearance. The pair begin to argue over who left who stranded at the nightclub but are forced to call a truce when Kelly interrupts them.

Kelly is thrilled with the success of the show and tells Whitney that one day she will be showcasing her own designs on the catwalk. Everyone then heads to the after-party hosted by Elle.

Erin discusses Olivia with a friend and admits that she is still unsure about her: "I haven't been that impressed thus far, but she could pull something out," she says. She adds that she hasn't seen Olivia taking any notes yet and decides to go and talk to her about the trip.

Olivia says that she is confident she has what she needs to write her piece on emerging trends, despite not having attended any trade shows. Erin says that she is looking forward to reading it but later tells her friend that Joe will be angry.

Back in New York, the pair meet with Joe for a debrief. He is pleased with how successful the show has been press-wise but admits that he is disappointed Olivia didn't attend the trade shows. Erin pipes up that she warned Olivia to go to them. Olivia responds that maybe Erin should have worked with her.

Joe agrees. "You're supposed to be showing Olivia the ropes," he tells Erin. "You should have told her to go." Erin insists that she has her own job and can only do so much, but Joe says there is no room for bickering or personality clashes in the office.

Over at People's Revolution, Kelly is also discussing fashion week. She tells Roxy and Whitney that their argument was "beyond a huge embarrassment" to her and questions whether it is sensible to work alongside your friends.

As she leaves, Roxy whispers that she "didn't say one nice thing" but Kelly overhears. "Call me a controlling bitch for wanting us to be professional and deal with the media instead of fighting," she responds. "If it happens again you guys can find another job. I have better things to do."

She later shouts from her office that she is furious with their $200 room service bill, saying she gives them a limit of $50 each per day and will deduct the extra $100 from their next paychecks.
