The actress, who plays Dr Allison Cameron in the medical drama, recently confirmed that she will be leaving the series this season.
Speaking to E! Online, she said: "I don't read anything online, because if you read the good you have to read the bad, and if you read the bad, it's depressing, so I just avoid it altogether.
"But... even with avoiding looking at stuff online, it's really been really overwhelmingly beautiful the way the fans have been supportive. I couldn't thank them enough."
She added: "It means so much to me that the people watching like my character. You couldn't ask for more as an actor."
