NBC orders culinary competition show
Published Saturday, Nov 21 2009, 03:46 GMT | By Mike Moody

The programme will pit contestants against each other for the opportunity to open a restaurant chain in four US cities. A panel of wealthy investors from the cooking and business worlds will then judge the hopefuls.
"This is the first time the culinary and business worlds have come together in a big event series where the prize is one of the largest in reality TV history," Paul Telegdy, NBC's executive vice president of alternative programming, said in a statement.
He added: "Not only will viewers get to watch the competition unfold, they'll be able to eat at the winning restaurant immediately after the show's finale."
Top Chef creator Magical Elves is producing. The programme's panellists and premiere date have yet to be announced.
