Black, Elwes join drama 'Tough Trade'

Lucas Black and Cary Elwes have signed on to star opposite Sam Shepard in Tough Trade, the first pilot from cable network Epix.

The Hollywood Reporter describes the drama as a look at three generations of a dysfunctional family of country music stars called The Tuckers. It was created by Chris Offutt, a novelist and writer for Showtime's Weeds.

Black will play a talented musician who refuses to follow in the Tucker musical legacy started by his grandfather (Shepard) and father (Elwes). He instead makes a living selling illegal ammunition in Nashville.

Epix hopes to premiere the series in 2010.
