The 13-episode order comes after the show ranked as the highest-rated basic cable drama this year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, all of the surviving series regulars will be returning, and creator Kurt Sutter has inked a new two-year deal to continue as showrunner.
"The success of Sons of Anarchy is very gratifying and the show has become a bona-fide hit," said FX president John Landgraf. "The critics have recognised Sons as one the best series on television and the show has earned its place alongside FX's great drama series."
