DioGuardi: 'We know Lambert will shock'

The singer, who finished runner-up in the Fox show last season, hit the headlines after he simulated sex and kissed a male bandmate at the annual ceremony.
Speaking to E! Online's Marc Malkin, she said: "We always know he's going to shock us, right? He's going to wow us and give us the unexpected, and that's his thing... That's what we look for."
However, the panelist went on to say that she understood why ABC had cancelled a scheduled appearance by Lambert following the incident.
"We're living in a pretty bad economic time, so they have to do what they have to do to keep their advertisers," she said. "Networks are doing what they think their viewers want and don't want, so it's just budgetary."
