ABC's 'Pirates' screening draws 6.3m

A special screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End performed well for ABC last Monday, the latest viewing figures show.

The Johnny Depp-fronted movie, which aired between 8pm and 11pm and was the only piece of original programming, averaged 6.25m, coming in second place across primetime.

Over on CBS, How I Met Your Mother and Accidentally On Purpose grabbed 6.05m and 5.78m at 8pm, then the audience climbed dramatically to 11.05m during the 9pm screening of Two And A Half Men. The Big Bang Theory followed at 9.30pm, bringing in 9.96m, then 9.42m watched CSI: Miami during the 10pm hour.

NBC's Community marathon pulled in 3.28m and 2.43m at 8pm, then 2.08m and 1.97m at 9pm. The 10pm Jay Leno Show managed 3.21m.

House and Lie To Me put in 4.83m and 4.53m for Fox at 8pm and 9pm, while The CW's One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl had 1.15m and 680k.
