Hollywood actress Christina Ricci has admitted that landing a guest appearance on Joey was a dream come true.

Ricci was a huge fan of Matt LeBlanc's character, Joey Tribbiani, on Friends, and was thrilled to appear on the spin-off show.

She told The Sun, "I've always loved Joey Tribbiani. Me and my sister have always loved him. We just want him to come over for Thanksgiving, or something.

"I've never had a crush on him, I just wanted him to come around and like eat sandwiches with us and hug us. So when they asked me to do Joey, I was like, 'Okay!'"

Ricci played Joey's sister Mary Teresa in the latest episode to air in the US.
