NBC's 'Day One' reduced to two-hour movie

The show was originally eyed as a 13-episode series, which the network's president Angela Bromstad later declared as a one-season show.
She said at the time: "We've always looked at Day One as a big event for us and not necessarily a show that would be an ongoing, returning show for a second season."
In October 2009, it emerged that NBC had cut the order for the sci-fi thriller further, this time opting to air it as a four-part miniseries.
However, NBC has shot just two hours of the drama, which is all it plans to air unless it performs well.
