Last month, Fox announced that Laurie, who plays the titular role on the medical drama, would be stepping behind the camera for an episode scheduled to air this spring.
Writing on his Twitter, Greg Yaitanes, who has directed House since it began in 2004, said: "Hugh Laurie. Actor. Director. Double threat. He's kicking ass today thanks to all your well wishes."
He later added: "Thx for clarification tweeps! HL is a MULTI threat. Actor, Producer, Director, Author, Comedian, Singer, Musician and the man can dance, yo."
House returns to Fox Monday, January 25 at 8pm.
