Flockhart 'not cutting 'Brothers' role'

Calista Flockhart is expected to continue as a series regular on the next season of Brothers & Sisters.

Following the news that Rob Lowe will be departing the show, reports suggested that Flockhart, who plays Kitty McAllister in the drama, will also be reducing her role.

However, Brothers & Sisters showrunner David Marshall Grant told TV Guide that the rumours are incorrect.

"We are all expecting Calista to come back next season as a series regular and she is," he said. "We're all expecting her to do a great year next year."

A spokesperson for ABC also confirmed that Flockhart will be a series regular.

Brothers & Sisters airs Sundays at 10pm on ABC in the US and Thursdays at 10pm on More4 in the UK.
