The project, based on New Zealand show Outrageous Fortune, centres on the matriarch of a family of con artists who decide to change her life after her husband is sent to prison, says The Hollywood Reporter.
ABC first adapted Outrageous Fortune in 2008 as pilot Good Behaviour with Catherine O'Hara in the lead role.
The show's eight episode run will debut this summer.
