Celebs get chance to present weather
Published Thursday, Mar 31 2005, 00:24 BST | By James Welsh
The Weather Channel in the US has offered celebrities the chance to make guest appearances during weather forecasts.
"Over the years we have had just a few guests appear in our studios to help bring the weather to life, and the reaction from our viewers has always been very positive," said Terry Connelly, the channel's senior VP and general manager. "And, in television and magazine interviews, many film and sports stars have revealed their secret desire to broadcast the weather. We know from our audience research that celebrities are part of our loyal viewing audience. We look forward to making this fun promotional opportunity an occasional feature on our broadcasting schedule."
