The 33-year-old actor, who was recently cast in True Blood's third season, will reportedly play Doug, "a good-guy husband and dad who is a former high school football star".
In other pilot news, Eugene Levy has boarded Hitched, another CBS comedy which revolves around a twentysomething newlywed couple who, surrounded by family and friends, are still learning about each other. Levy will play the father of the groom.
Additionally, Sons Of Anarchy's Taryn Manning has been cast in the reboot of classic cop show Hawaii Five-O, which also stars Daniel Dae Kim and Alex O'Loughlin.
